Nicole Salvo, MD

Obstetrics & Gynecology, Mom of two

As a board-certified OB/GYN, Nikki enjoys the privilege of caring for the women of Milwaukee and their tiny growing humans. She earned her Bachelors of Science with Honors in Psychology from the University of Iowa. She earned her M.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She went on to complete her residency in OB/GYN at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and subsequently signed on as a faculty attending physician in 2013. Her vibrant demeanor encourages a safe environment for communication, leadership and the development of resident physician and medical student education.

Becoming a mom of two, the perception of the unique experience of pregnancy and motherhood has changed Nikki in such a wonderful way. In her spare time Nikki enjoys travel, wakeboarding, reading, and spending time with the two tiny humans, her husband and their dog.

Lauren Walsh, MD

Family Medicine, Mom of one

Lauren is a board-certified family medicine physician with Advocate Aurora Health who also provides obstetric care for her patients. She currently works as a faculty member of a rural family medicine residency. Lauren grew up on a farm and, as a result, has been present for all kinds of births and is passionate about helping women through pregnancy. Lauren completed her residency in Family Medicine through the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Science, Masters of Public Health, and Medical Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter, hosting family dinners, trying new foods, working on their family farm, and competitively showing livestock.

Christy Liebe, RN, IBCLC

Lactation Specialist, Mom of four

Christy is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and has a love for working in Labor and Delivery. She took a brief break to learn the ‘behind the scenes’ business end of hospital care which eventually left her longing to return to patient care and moms and babies. Lactation was the perfect fit!

Christy currently works for Advocate Aurora Health, serving new moms with babies in the NICU, as well as providing both inpatient and outpatient postpartum care. Outside of work, Christy has an active and rapidly changing family life. She has been married for 23 years and has three children. Two of Christy's children are graduating college this year and one is just beginning high school. She and her husband are constantly learning in this new season of life!

Maryanne Scherer, CNM

Midwifery, Mom of one

After her own less than optimal birth experience, Maryanne found the path to midwifery. She feels that working with women throughout their lifespan and during some of the most vulnerable times in their lives creates a bond between patient and clinician that is unlike any other.

Maryanne earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and her Master of Science in Nursing from Marquette University. She has served on the board for the Wisconsin Affiliate of the American College of Nurse Midwives and has taught undergraduate nursing at Milwaukee School of Engineering and Marquette University. Maryanne works at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, providing well-woman care, contraceptive counseling, pre-conception care, as well as prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care. In her free time she enjoys hiking, canoeing and camping with her husband, son and dog. 

Lori Walsh, MD

Pediatrics & Integrative Medicine, Mom of two

Lori is a practicing board-certified pediatrician at Advocate Medical Group in the northern suburbs of Chicago. She was drawn to pediatrics for many reasons; the love of watching children grow, the chance to be a trusted adult in their lives and to help prevent illness or injury. She’s married and has twins who are now in college.

Lori has continued her education with a Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Andrew Weil center at the University of Arizona, which will be completed in 2021. She is also the Medical Director in Integrative Medicine at two sites within the Advocate Aurora system in Illinois. She sees her role as a general pediatrician as a way to assist parents in navigating through the predictable parts of child development and those unique to their child, so they become the go-to experts in allowing their child to flourish.  She loves to dance, travel, connect with friends and family, and hang out on her front porch reading with her dogs.

Chiropractic, Mom of two

Rachel seeks to educate all patients on how to achieve wellness in their own lives. Passionate about evidence-based chiropractic care, she is a lifelong learner and active mom who works with patients of all levels of health and fitness.

Based in Wisconsin and working with the Aurora Health Chiropractic team, Rachel has a Masters in Sports & Exercise Science and is a BIRTHFIT professional. Rachel’s chiropractic treatments include spinal and extremity manipulation, soft tissue release techniques, and rehabilitative services. At home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, with her husband, two kids, and two adorable boxer dogs, she likes to paddle-board when the weather is nice, loves to read and sew, and practices yoga.

Lisa Lockett-Neumuth, CNM

Midwifery, Mom of four

From adolescence, through childbearing and menopause, Lisa works with women as a nurse-midwife and is a strong advocate for women of all ages. She is married with 4 kids who do “all the sports.” When she’s not working, you’ll probably find her on a field or rink somewhere in Wisconsin.

Lisa didn’t take the textbook path into medicine but knew her true calling to be a midwife at the tender age of 5. Prior to midwifery, she was a Women’s Health Practitioner, a Labor and Delivery Nurse, and a Pediatric Registered Nurse. She’s always working on the balance between chaos at home and work, and in her spare time she’s an avid runner, food connoisseur, and travel addict.

Anita Raghavan, MD

Pediatrics, Mom of two

Anita has a passion for healthcare innovation and works on finding solutions for unmet needs in unique ways. She’s a go-getting mother of two who is double board-certified in general pediatrics and hospital medicine and is currently an assistant professor of pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University.

Raised in Chicago, Anita spent the first part of her career in her hometown at Rosalind Franklin University and the University of Chicago. She loves teaching the next generation of pediatricians and has done so for over 8 years. Anita and her husband and kids now call Cleveland home as she combines mom-life with pediatrics. Jessica McCardell, LCSW

Jessica is a psychotherapist that believes that listening to a patient's story can help create a collaborative alliance. This can result in better coping skills, a feeling of empowerment, and an overall improvement in a patient's quality of life. Away from the clinic Jessica and her husband enjoy their two German Shepherds, and they love training for triathlons and not taking life too seriously.

Jessica has been practicing for over 5 years and has worked in all levels of care including residential, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings. She currently works at Aurora Behavioral Health and enjoys treating individuals with a range of mental health concerns including addiction, anxiety disorders, women’s health & wellness, family of origin issues, and trauma disorders. She is passionate about improving people’s understanding of mind-body connection and how this affects one's state of mind and overall wellness.

Andrea DuMez, RN

Labor and Delivery, Mom of Four

Andrea has an unwavering passion for children and community. She began her nursing career in Oncology for Advocate Aurora Health, pausing for a few years to stay at home with her four babies. Motherhood was transformative for her and ignited a desire to help moms be better moms. After forming a non-profit for teenaged moms with a friend, Andrea returned to Advocate Aurora as a labor and delivery nurse: a perfect fit for her talents.

Andrea holds an associate degree in Nursing from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee and her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Her work as a labor and delivery nurse also allows her to assist the neonates in the ICU, and she is a certified car seat technician.

Andrea is one of the founders of Wumblekin and has a heart full of love and service when it comes to mamas and babies. Married for 23 years with two kids now in college and two in high school, she dedicates any free time she has to her community, church, ebiking, and anything food-related.
